Safe and intelligent management of refrigerated goods through advanced sensorization and data analytics.

The GUARDIAN project (Safe and Intelligent Management of refrigerated goods through advanced sensorization and data analytics) is based on the optimization of energy resources and certification in the refrigerated logistics process. Firstly, solutions will be investigated that focus on improving the physics of refrigerated transport; That is, they propose alternatives to reduce vehicle consumption on long and short journeys within the so-called smart cities. These solutions mainly impact improvements in the design of elements of refrigerated transport in the future. Therefore, our second research focus is energy optimization of existing resources through real-time data analysis. Thanks to innovation in IoT sensorization infrastructures in refrigerated transport, a huge amount of information will be generated in real time that can provide added value when optimizing energy resources during the logistics process.

These two research approaches cover the entire spectrum of energy optimization within refrigerated transport for the pharmaceutical industry, proposing long-medium term measures that may require greater potential investment and short-term measures to optimize existing resources through analysis. depth of them. On the other hand, these strategies include compliance with the GDP (Good Distribution Practices) regulations for the certification of good distribution practices for the pharmaceutical and agri-food industry. Therefore, with the objective of streamlining and establishing trust in the process, avoiding possible fraud in the control of variables related to product quality, the research and development of secure data management through blockchain is proposed. ) also called smart contract (smart contract) for the certification of GDP regulations on temperature control and product quality.
