Research to create a predictive and proactive system for the intelligent management of residential and commercial buildings.
PRECEPT is the European project that aims to lay the foundations for the deployment and operation of proactive residential buildings. With the help of the latest technological advances such as BIM, IoT, Big Data and the use of renewable energies, it seeks to reduce energy consumption and costs, achieve high efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
The proposed framework introduces a predictive and proactive (PP) “plug-n-play” building energy management system (BMS) installed locally at the building level, on the Edge-Enable Proactiveness (EEP) device. The proposed management system has the ability to self-adapt and learn from itself, allowing it to be managed, monitored, repaired and optimized, with minimal installation costs and no maintenance.
