Tele-maintenance of buildings

Infrastructure

More and more installations in buildings have communication interfaces that allow us to manage remotely through gateways or gateways. This is the case of generating sets, air conditioning equipment, multimedia equipment such as video cannons, etc. In addition, older equipment that does not have a communications interface can also be automated with sensors that allow us to know its status remotely.

In this way we can have it monitored and it tells us, for example, if the generating set runs out of diesel, if the air conditioner filters need to be cleaned or if the light bulb on a video cannon needs to be changed.

The University of Murcia has a Smart Campus Open Data application based on the OdinS City Explorer platform that remotely controls a wide range of equipment and buildings where maintenance notices and malfunction alarms are received in real time, and are stored in the historical record.
